Would winning a lottery make you happier?

You would think the answer to that would be a resounding yes. But according to an article I read recently in the local Sunday paper, you would only be 4.29% happier. How could that be? Apparently, researchers at Britain’s Warkwick University found that instead of an immediate increase in psychological wellbeing, there is a sudden spike of stress.

Well, all I can say is make me a lottery winner and I’ll show them a 100% increase in ‘psychological wellbeing‘, that is, happiness…
