Remember the saying ‘good things come to those that wait’. Well, I’m a believer. Got news this week that a travel article I submitted a while ago has been accepted by a business magazine. Yes, I know that you’re meant to send queries, not completed articles. But this was a humorous piece about spending ‘48 hours in Las Vegas’ and I’m not too sure how you sell humor in query letters. But it all turned out good.
Plus, one of my many query letters also hit the mark. Last week I queried Giftedtravel.com about writing three travel articles on interesting travel adventures around New Zealand with children. Today I got a contract to sign. Looks like my Christmas presents arrived early this year…
