The other day I posted about garden offices and it got me wondering about where freelancers write. I’ve always had to have a specific place to write - even with a laptop, I still have to go into the study to write. I tried the coffee shop and the library but it just didn’t seem right. I guess I’m just a creature of habit….are you ?

My computer is set up in the living room, just gives me a love/hate relationship with my writing space.
It's wonderful during the day, when its just me and the baby. He has space to play and I can easily supervise and work at the same time. However, when the whole crew is home, its hard to get enough peace to get things done.
I really need to get a laptop!!
I love writing at my desk but it doesn't always work out that way. I have notebooks everywhere (purse, car, baby's room) and when my older son is watching a movie I bring the laptop to be with
Having a laptop is great as it lets you move around when the living room gets too crowded...
I've love to be able to go and set up at the local cafe and write away but I get too distracted by everything that's going on around me. So, I have to hide in the study - luckily it look out on the garden...Cheers, Liz
